Tarka contains two active ingredients-- trandolapril (an ACE inhibitor) and verapamil (a calcium channel blocker). These two medicines work in different ways to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. By lowering blood pressure, Tarka helps reduce the risk of serious hypertension complications, including heart attacks, strokes, and kidney damage.
