- Many of the coupons circulating in the doctor's office have expiration dates of 12/2008. We called Pfizer to check on this. THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 2012; please disregard the expiration dates on the back of the coupon.

Savings: Up to $10.00 off three prescriptions for Chantix®. (The amount of the discount can not exceed your copay).

Explanation: These coupons have been widely distributed to doctors' offices. There is a good chance that your doctor has a supply of these coupons or they may be laying around in the waiting room.

The coupons are part of a comprehensive program designed to increase the chances of a person successfully quitting smoking with Chantix®.

If your doctor does not have a supply of these coupons, he must call his Pfizer representative. If he does not know who his Pfizer representative is, he should call Pfizer at 1-212-733-2323. Pfizer will dispatch a pharmaceutical representative to meet with your doctor, drop off the coupons and explain how the program works.

Only doctors who normally prescribe smoking cessation medicines are appropriate to participate in this program (i.e., family practice, internist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, etc.)

Pharmacists may not request these coupons.

This program is generally not appropriate for doctors who do not routinely prescribe smoking cessation medicines (such as surgeons, retired doctors, opthamologists, gynecologists, oncologists, allergists, etc.)
